This policy explains what personal information Investmatch collects, how we use it, and your rights. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We collect only what's needed to operate the site:

• Search queries you type into the platform search. We use these to return results and may aggregate them to improve the product. We do not associate searches with you personally.
• Contact-form submissions (name, email, message) — only if you choose to contact us. Stored in our database; used only to reply.
• Standard server logs (IP address, browser, page visited, timestamp) handled by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and performance.

We do not require accounts, do not run third-party advertising networks, and do not use behavioural tracking pixels.

Cookies

Investmatch uses only essential cookies (e.g. to remember if you've acknowledged our financial-advice disclaimer). We do not set marketing or analytics cookies.

How we use your information

• To operate the site and respond to your queries.
• To diagnose technical issues and improve the product.
• To aggregate anonymised usage patterns (e.g. what searches are most common).

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Third-party services we use

• Vercel — hosts the website. Handles request logs.
• Supabase — stores our platform data and any contact-form submissions. Located in Sydney (ap-southeast-2).
• Cloudflare — DNS and email routing.
• DeepSeek — large-language model that processes your search queries. Queries are sent over an encrypted connection and not retained by us. Refer to DeepSeek's own privacy policy for how they handle the query.

When you click out to a platform

When you click a platform link on Investmatch, you leave our site and are subject to that platform's own privacy policy. If the link is an affiliate link, the platform may receive an identifier indicating you came from Investmatch — this is standard affiliate-tracking and does not transmit any personal data we hold about you.

Your rights

Under the APPs you can request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@investmatch.com.au to make a request. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we've handled your personal information, email us first and we'll work to resolve it. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
